The Guesthouse
About This Spot
Stepping into The Guesthouse on N Mills Avenue feels like uncovering a well-kept secret—an inviting retreat that melds the charm of old Florida with a quietly sophisticated edge. The lighting is dim and flattering, casting gentle shadows over the polished wooden bar and cozy seating areas, setting the stage for conversation and connection without fuss or pretense. It’s a place that unwinds at its own pace, where the rhythm feels more like a welcoming Sunday afternoon than the hurried buzz of a typical city night.
Here, the atmosphere is relaxed yet thoughtfully curated, with a subtle hint of romance and a genuine warmth that makes it easy to settle in whether you’re flying solo or in good company. The bartenders embody a true artisan spirit, crafting drinks that are as much about the experience as the taste—classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Whiskey Smash appear effortlessly alongside playful twists that catch your eye and delight your palate. The mixology here invites exploration without overwhelming, encouraging guests to linger and savor each sip.
One of The Guesthouse’s quietly beloved features is its openness to the neighborhood’s flavors; many visitors happily bring over bites from nearby eateries, creating a casual and welcoming interlude between food and drink. This blend of thoughtful service, approachable vibe, and a community-minded spirit makes it more than just a bar—it’s a local haven where moments feel authentic and easily unhurried.

Some places just find the right fit! The guesthouse is one of them. From the very first visit, the accessible ambiance created the feel of a Sunday afternoon in an old Florida hideaway of yesteryear. The happy Hour is terrific and the mixologists are top notch! The Guesthouse is a great way to begin an evening on the town!

What a cool atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday evening with a small group & sat at the bar. Love the vibe, very romantic dim lighting. Drinks were fun & cute. Which we chose for the experience and pictures. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks they had to offer. Location was clean Parking was tough if you wanted to park easy.

Sydney has been a pleasure! She made my drink very well! Guesthouse is a chill inviting spot. They may not have a kitchen. Don’t hesitate to stop next door to grab some delicious tacos! Yes you’re allowed to bring them over! Some drinks & tacos never go wrong!

To wrap up my “Negroni Week” (which, let’s be honest, turned into more of a Negroni month ), we headed to The Guesthouse. The vibe was effortlessly cool, and the staff made us feel right at home, welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. I went straight for the Strawberry Sbagliato: Chambéryzette, Campari, a pinch of salt, and sparkling wine. It was refreshing, bubbly, and delicious. Not exactly a Negroni, but the Campari still shone through, giving it that bittersweet edge I crave. Definitely a perfect celebratory sip. Somewhere in the visit, we ordered another drink, but let’s just say Negroni Week had caught up with me, and the details got a little fuzzy. What I do remember is chatting with one of the bartenders about Enrico Toro Centerba 72, a unique Italian liqueur they use in cocktails. That kind of insider conversation is what makes places like this so memorable.

has a really cool vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed, the bartenders are friendly, and it’s a great spot to hang out and talk. Just a heads-up: if you go on a busy night like Friday or Saturday, you might wait more than 15 minutes to place your order. That’s pretty much the weekend vibe here… Lots of people, lots of movement, and a packed bar. Still, it’s a genuinely nice place. I personally prefer going on weekdays because everything flows faster, but it’s totally understandable why weekends get so crowded. It’s a well-loved spot with good energy. Definitely worth checking out.
